University of Kentucky to Host 2026 Summer Camps Fair Connecting Families with Local Programmes
UK HR Work-Life and Well-Being initiative will bring together summer camp representatives and parents at an in-person fair to support childcare planning and resource access.
The University of Kentucky’s Human Resources Work-Life and Well-Being programme will host its 2026 Summer Camps Fair on Thursday, February twenty-sixth, offering families an opportunity to connect directly with a wide range of regional summer camp providers and programmes.
The event, scheduled from eleven a.m. to one p.m. at the Gatton Student Center Ballroom C on the Lexington campus, invites parents and caregivers to learn about camp options for children from preschool through high school.
Attendees will be able to speak with representatives about offerings ranging from academic and arts camps to athletic, special needs and extracurricular programmes, with some providers offering exclusive discounts to university staff and affiliates.
Participation in the fair is free for exhibitors, and all registered camps and activities will be featured in an online summer camps directory through autumn 2026, enhancing accessibility for families planning ahead.
Organisers emphasise that the directory is provided as an informational resource and does not constitute endorsement of specific programmes.
In addition to the fair itself, the university is hosting a session on February twenty-fourth focused on helping families choose the right summer camp, aimed at equipping parents with tools and insights to make informed decisions.
The annual gathering reflects a broader effort by the university’s HR team to support working parents by facilitating connections to high-quality childcare and enrichment opportunities during the long summer break.
With space limited for the in-person fair, families are encouraged to register early to ensure they can take full advantage of the resources and conversations available on the day.
