Fatal Robbery: Man Killed for Counterfeit Designer Watch, Emmanuel Odunlami Case
Emmanuel Odunlami, a 32-year-old music manager, was fatally stabbed during a robbery in which four men targeted his counterfeit designer watch.
On his birthday, Odunlami was celebrating at a London restaurant when a security guard, Kavindu Hettiarachichi, noticed his watch and informed his criminal associates. The watch, had it been authentic, could have been valued at around £125,000.
Jordell Menzies, 27, was found guilty of murder. Three accomplices were convicted on various charges: Louis Vandrose, 28, and Quincy Ffrench, 28, both admitted to the robbery and were convicted of manslaughter, while Hettiarachichi, 31, confessed to theft and was also convicted of robbery and manslaughter. Antonios Kfoury, 22, was deemed guilty of perverting the course of justice.
The violent incident occurred near St. Paul's Cathedral and the subsequent trial details were only reported following a retrial. The City of London Police stated that using a knife in a robbery demonstrates intent to commit murder, affirming their commitment to ensuring justice.
