Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer reaffirmed his commitment to avoid raising taxes, assuring that there will be 'no tax surprises' in the upcoming manifesto.

Despite the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) indicating that tax rises may be necessary to sustain departmental funding, Starmer pledged not to increase income tax, national insurance, or VAT.
