John and Joan's unexplained disappearance raises concerns among family and authorities
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the disappearance of a couple from Dorchester, John and Joan, who were last known to be visiting family in Essex.
According to police, the couple is believed to have departed from Essex on Friday, March 28, but they did not return home to Dorset, leading to growing concerns for their welfare.
Police confirmed that the couple was travelling in a red Ford Kuga, bearing the registration plate HF74 KRO.
Inspector Charlotte Lee, overseeing the investigation, characterized the situation as "very out of character" for the couple, emphasizing the urgency to locate them to ensure their safety.
Inspector Lee publicly appealed for anyone with information regarding the couple's whereabouts to come forward.
She also urged members of the public who may encounter the mentioned vehicle to report it to the authorities.
In her appeal, Inspector Lee addressed the couple directly, encouraging John and Joan to establish contact with their family or the police to confirm their wellbeing.

He has short grey hair with reddish tints and is sometimes seen wearing glasses.
Joan is described as around five feet two inches tall with a larger build.
Her blonde hair, which is now beginning to turn grey, reaches the nape of her neck.
