The Metropolitan Police have identified an 11-year-old girl who went missing in the River Thames as Kaliyah Coa.
Authorities initiated a recovery mission following reports of her disappearance, which occurred during a school inset day.
Police received notification at approximately 1:23 PM on Monday after Kaliyah entered the water near Barge House Causeway, close to London City Airport.
Emergency services responded promptly, launching a comprehensive search operation in the area.
Chief Superintendent Dan Card stated that specialist officers are providing support to Kaliyah’s family as they navigate this distressing situation.
He expressed gratitude to the public and first responders who rapidly participated in the extensive search under challenging circumstances.
