Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has issued a strong statement accusing senior EU officials and German leaders of orchestrating a plan to replace Hungary’s government with one subservient to Brussels.

Orbán specifically named European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European People’s Party leader Manfred Weber as central figures in what he described as an “open conspiracy against Hungary.”

Orbán claims that this effort aims to install a "puppet government" — a “Jawohl! government” — that would comply with directives from Brussels. He compared this alleged agenda to the current administration in Poland, suggesting that the EU seeks a similarly compliant government in Hungary. He further asserted that this is part of a broader campaign led by an "EUN," primarily directed by German officials, attempting to achieve what failed in 1938: to dominate Hungary and pressure its citizens into accepting a German-led, unelected superpower.

In response, Orbán firmly stated Hungary’s commitment to resist such pressures, declaring, “We will not allow this!” His remarks highlight Hungary’s ongoing struggle against perceived overreach by unelected EU officials, particularly from German leadership, as the country stands steadfast against foreign efforts to compromise its sovereignty and undermine its democracy.
