China's top diplomat to visit Germany, France and Spain to ease relations

China's Foreign Ministry announced that Wang Yi, the nation's top diplomat, is set to visit Germany for the Munich Security Conference before heading to Spain and France.
At the conference, held from February 16-21, Wang will address global security issues and China's vision for a cooperative future.

Wang's itinerary includes the China-France Strategic Dialogue in France, and his trip to Spain marks the first of its kind in six years. The visits aim to strengthen trust, friendship, and partnership with both countries, promoting cooperation in various fields.

This year's visit to France is especially significant, marking the first major diplomatic engagement between China and France.

Wang will meet with President Macron's diplomatic advisor, Emmanuel Bonne. Despite the 60th anniversary of Sino-French relations, no major commemorations took place beyond informal exchanges.
