‘Plane Full of English Animals’: Footage Documents EasyJet Flight Chaos to Ibiza
Viral video captures passengers shouting, drinking, and causing disruption on flight from Luton to Ibiza; police met the aircraft upon landing
Footage of an EasyJet flight from Luton, England, to Ibiza, Spain, has gone viral after capturing chaotic scenes involving unruly passengers.
The flight, operated by the British low-cost airline on May 16, turned into what one traveler described as a 'real hell,' far removed from traditional British manners.
The video, shared by a resident of Ibiza on TikTok, showed multiple passengers shouting, banging on the overhead luggage bins, and chanting, 'Let’s go Ibiza!' The woman, Erika Barrachina, stated that throughout the two-and-a-half-hour flight, passengers stood in the aisles, shouted, drank miniature alcohol bottles continuously, and prevented cabin crew from carrying out their duties.
“My flight yesterday from London to Ibiza with EasyJet was a real horror!! I was scared, a plane full of actual English animals!! Everyone was on their feet, screaming, boys hitting each other, drinking bottle after bottle of alcohol… preventing the flight attendants from doing their job! A real hell!!!” Barrachina wrote in Spanish in the video description.
She added that passengers were already intoxicated and under the influence before boarding, combining pills with alcohol.
According to her account, the video only shows the end of the ordeal, as she was unable to record what happened during the rest of the flight.
She expressed strong criticism of the airline’s alcohol policy and called for restrictions on boarding for such disruptive travelers.
Barrachina told Spanish media that she had lodged a complaint with the flight crew during the journey.
According to her, two male and one female flight attendants attempted to get some passengers to identify themselves but were met with shouted obscenities.
"I had a very hard time, and the attendants could do nothing, because how do you control wild animals on a plane?
There has to be a solution,” she said.
She described the environment as similar to a pub or nightclub, but in the air.
Although she does not suffer from aviophobia, she said the situation caused her to experience a panic attack.
The aircraft landed at Ibiza around 23:30, where it was met by local police.
EasyJet confirmed that the flight was met by authorities due to the disorderly conduct of a group of passengers.
The airline stated: “Flight EZY2307 from Luton to Ibiza on 16 May was met by police on arrival due to a group of passengers behaving disruptively onboard.
EasyJet cabin crew are trained to assess and manage such situations to ensure that flight safety and the wellbeing of other passengers are not compromised.
While such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behavior onboard.”
The incident occurs amid broader concerns about the impact of mass tourism on Ibiza.
Residents and local officials have expressed frustration over the growing number of disruptive tourists, particularly during the summer season.
A demonstration is planned across the Balearic Islands, including Ibiza, on 15 June 2025, to protest the perceived consequences of unregulated tourism.
