Trump Completes Cabinet with Agriculture Secretary Nomination

Brooke Rollins Tapped as Last Cabinet Member, Set to Oversee Key Agricultural Policies
Donald Trump has nominated Brooke Rollins for Secretary of Agriculture, completing his cabinet lineup.

Announced on a late Saturday afternoon, Rollins is the head of the America First Policy Institute, a think tank with close ties to Trump's 'MAGA' movement.

Trump praised her, stating she will protect American farmers, vital contributors to the nation.

Rollins has a longstanding association with Trump, co-founding the America First Policy Institute and serving as a former White House aide.

With a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Development from Texas A&M University, Rollins grew up on a farm and was involved with Future Farmers of America and 4H.

If confirmed by the Senate, Rollins will oversee farm subsidies, federal nutrition programs, meat inspections, and more.

Her role will involve renegotiating the US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, potentially implementing Trump's tariffs.

Rollins' nomination marks the conclusion of Trump's cabinet selection, a group of 15 nominees requiring Senate confirmation.

Trump's choices range from staunch allies to former adversaries, generating significant discourse.

Notably, the nomination process has seen controversy, such as Robert Kennedy Jr.'s selection for Health and Human Services, despite his previous campaign against Trump.

Matt Gaetz, initially chosen for Attorney General, withdrew amid scandalous allegations, leading to Pam Bondi, a former Florida attorney general, being nominated instead.

Further controversy surrounds Pete Hegseth, a nominee embroiled in a past alleged sexual assault scandal, which he denies.

Meanwhile, Linda McMahon, ex-CEO of WWE and nominee for Education Secretary, faces criticism over her lack of educational background.
